but what about those original fashions that maintain throughout time? Not to say that its not noticed,.. but maybe not noticed enough. it might be a popular style in Tokyo, but there should be more publicity and attention on it. And I'm talking about the simple casual style. Yes its more common for guys to dress this way, but there's a few girls who wear it proudly too. I know.
To be more specific, here below are some pics of one of my favorite Japanese singers named Aiko. Although she's been making music for a long time now, she still strives to always keep a very youthful look in her clothing :)
Not only the clothing, but also the simple hairstyles and light make up..
Aiko does wear dresses and skirts and cute stuff from time to time, but I love the simplicity of her style. And even though this is her style and the style for many girls, there's just not much attention placed into this way of dressing. It expresses not only strength, but also innocence and original beauty in its own way. Sure the clothes might not be as appealing to some girls as it is baggy jeans/shorts/capris, T-shirts and hoodies, so it might come off as an impression that the girl wearing these clothes might have a different sexual preferences or mind set. but it doesn't have to be/look or seem that way all, for the girl proudly wearing these clothes can be a nice person to meet and get to know because you can see her, and not some LOUD clothing and wigs and Heavy make up that just disguises one to an imaginary version of once self. while this style is simple and the people wearing it are very real. and not to mention, these clothes are very comfortable :) i know 'cause i dress simple too :)
But again, Japan is a portal of different worlds of styles and for that and many reasons is why i love this country. but the people wearing these styles and their stories matter more.
